Bonus NSFW Chapter – In Which Timothée Gets Tangled in Green Shadows - Preview
Timothée didn’t know how he ended up in an empty classroom with his pants around his ankles and Sylvester O'Reilly trailing his tongue up his legs.
No, Timothée did know, and it was all Valentine Sun’s fault.
Or maybe it was his own fault for forgetting his History of Thraina coursebook.
The day had already started out weird. Val was usually up before the sun set, styling his hair, making his stupid face even more beautiful with liner around his lilac eyes, and then he’d kick the bottom of Timothée’s bed, telling him he was going to be late.
Which Timothée always was. He had never been a morning person, and now he wasn’t a night person. He just liked to sleep in.
But this morning, Val hadn’t gotten out of bed, and when Timothée had asked what was wrong, Val just mumbled something about being sick. Timothée had noticed that Val hadn’t been coming to the dining hall. He’d left some bread and grapes by Val’s bed, but it lay untouched on his bedside table.
Timothée decided he’d bring Val back some sweet tea after first class. Even though he hated Val. The sooner Val was better, the less likely Timothée would catch whatever bug he had.
“Where’s Valentine?” Carmilla had asked when Timothée had come down to the Cauldron common room alone.
“He’s sick,” Timothée said. “Won’t get out of bed.”
Carmilla gave a long sigh. “I better go check on him.”
And that had been surprising. Timothée was pretty sure in the three weeks since the All Hallow’s Eve ball, Carmilla and Val had been fighting. They didn’t sit together in class or at the dining hall, and Val didn’t go out at night and spend time with her.
But Timothée put her concern out of his mind and headed down to the history class taught by Loremaster Setviren.
History of Thraina was the only class that Dark Star students attended with the other two houses. It was held in the school’s large amphitheatre. He usually sat in the back beside his sisters. When he realized he’d forgotten his coursebook, Timothée knew he would rather listen to a million hours of Setviren’s boring lectures than ask to share Marion’s textbook. She already thought he was irresponsible enough.
So, he’d turned around and headed back to his dorm. It was empty, but water was running in the bathroom. And there were other sounds too. Sounds that could only mean one thing.
And the voices were of Carmilla and Val.
Timothée stumbled in, tried to grab his coursebook, dropped it, and the bang echoed across the room.
The water shut off, and the voices stopped.
Val tore back the curtain. His shirt was off, but his hair was dry. “What are you doing here?”
Carmilla stepped out behind Val. Her blouse was open and beneath she wore a simple black brassiere. She looked between Timothée and Val. “Oh, is there something you should have told Timothée, Val?”
